Grove Co | Product Review
Last month I tried Grove Collaborative for the first time. I had seen an advertisement for a glass spray bottle and liked the idea of reusable cleaning tools. I have been overwhelmed lately by the amount of plastic and just trash from packaging from using everyday items. I went to Grove Co to see what they had and I am so glad I did.
My order arrived just 2 days after I had place it. With it came several free gifts which ended being some of my favorite things. Here is a list of items I ordered along with the free gifts:
- Eco-friendly toilet paper
- Carpet refresher
- Room Spray (we have a dog – enough said)
- Walnut shell sponges
- Kitchen wipes
- Toilet bowl cleaner
- Handcrafted lavender & rosemary soap bar
Free gifts:
- Glass spray bottle with silicon sleeve
- Glass cleaner concentrate
- Mrs. Meyers hand soap
- Mrs. Meyers dish soap
- Mrs. Meyers multi-surface cleaner

I basically received twice what I actually paid for!
I just placed my second order with Grove Co so I decided I would share what I thought about the products I have tried in case you are thinking of trying Grove Co.

What I loved…
I had 2 absolute FAVORITES from the first order. The Handcrafted Lavender & Rosemary Soap Bar is wonderful. It smells amazing and it is not drying. I used this soap bar in the shower and I am very impressed at how it is holding up. I have had handmade soaps in the past that dissolve or melt in a week or two. This bar has made it 3 weeks and has about 2 weeks left.
I also used this soap to wash my face when my skin was being too sensitive for my other face wash. My skin was clean, not dry and would calm down. I love how this soap brightens my moment when I am using it. I ordered a second bar and this time I think I will cut it in half to see if I can get it to last even a little longer.
My other favorite was the Mrs. Meyers Multi-Surface Cleaner in Lemon Verbena. I can’t begin to tell you how much I like this stuff! I use it almost everyday now.
The day I unboxed my Grove Co order, I also unboxed an Amazon order as well and my dining room table (where we also do school) was looking pretty grimy. I wiped it with a wet rag but it still didn’t look great. So I tried the multi-surface cleaner. I sprayed the table and used a wet paper towel to wipe. I was in disbelief at how dirty the paper towel was. I had just wiped the table off with a wet rag! After I cleaned the table, my son walked into the room and asked what I had done to make the table shine?! It also made the room smell so good. I have been using this cleaner on every surface I can in my house now. It’s is wonderful. I ordered another one, this time in Orange Clove scent.
I also really like the glass spray bottle and ordered another. The glass cleaner that came with it works great. No streaks and smells great. Now when my kids smudge the windows they clean it themselves. I’m starting to think they are smudging them just so the can clean them.
The other items I ordered I like but I use less often (except the toilet paper). SO let’s talk toilet paper. I was skeptical about bamboo toilet paper, however I have to say, I’m good with it. I always bought thick, soft, Charmin and when the bamboo stuff came it felt neither thick nor soft. My kids were the first to use it and they all said they liked it! It lasted just as long as the Charmin rolls but fit better on the holder. It wasn’t as plush but it wasn’t rough. It wasn’t as thick but it was strong. The best part? My toilet seemed to be clogged less! And the price is about the same. So I ordered more bamboo toilet paper. Looks like it is here to stay.
The room spray is potent and spreads throughout the room. One spray goes a long way which means the bottle should last a good while. The scent is pleasant but too much for a small room (my personal opinion – my son said it didn’t bother him). It is perfect for my living room, especially when I feel like my dog is smelling less than wonderful.
The Mrs. Meyers Dish Soap in Lavender made hand washing more enjoyable. I liked the scent and the soap did not dry out my hands. It doesn’t cut grease as well as Dawn but for the dishes I have washed the past 3 weeks it has done a great job. Just be sure to thoroughly rinse your dishes other wise your pots smell like lavender while you are cooking.
The walnut shell sponges are good for wiping down counters and other light duty work. My cast iron skillets that I cook with destroyed them. I ordered scrubbers to try this next order.
As for the toilet bowl cleaner, the jury is still out. Between the hard water and amount our only toilet in the house gets used, it takes a strong cleaner to stand out. The Method brand probably does fine but on our toilet it didn’t stand out as exceptional. Add in the fact that it costs more than the brand that has been doing great for years means that I will not be reordering the toilet cleaner.
I know there were a few more things but I have yet to use them or at least yet to use them more than once. I will fill you in later if I think they are great or if I can do without.
If you would like to try Grove Co for yourself you can click on the photo below. It is an affiliate link, however the opinions above are all honest and my own. Right now Grove Co is still giving the Mrs. Meyers Cleaning Trio with orders of $30 or more.
Also, if you use Swagbucks, you get 600 sb for using Grove.
